My BLOG

November 14, 2007 - Things are really starting to happen here. At least in my head!
I have decided that I must start the process of building my own studio. Working out on the sun porch is really getting to me. Cold in the fall and I can't imagine what it would be like when it gets even colder out. My husband is on board, which is another reason why I love him so much. When I told him about my wishes for an indoor studio he simply said "it's your passion, so let's do it!". Awwww, my response, "you just may get some for that" lol! Our basement is 640 square feet. It's a perfect size for our excersize equiptment and all the kids toys. I am going to be taking up about 100 sq. feet of that. Well, maybe less - possibly. My next step is to get down on paper exactly what I want to have in there and get estimate from contractors. I know for sure that I want to enclose it as my own seperate room. The carpet in that part must be removed (fire hazard). I know what colors I want everything to be but that will be left for a surprise.
I'm so excited I couldn't hardly fall asleep last night.

Peace Out!

July 5, 2007 - Crap, I am so tired today. Last night, Gabe and I went to Carmel Fest and watched the fireworks. Traffic coming home was a bitch! It was all worth it though because I got to spend some much need one on one time with him. Today I am babysitting 2 girls for a friend of ours, I am actually getting more stuff done around the house because they are keeping each other occupied. This weekend I plan on doing a lot more work at the torch and will hopefully have some new offerings at the beginning of next week.

June 30, 2007 - A lot has in the past year... new baby, new house , yada yada yada.....  Finally I am able to torch again and I feel like I have lost my MOJO.  I know I will get it back but it will have to take some time and practice practice practice. I am looking forward to working with some new glass that I just ordered from Double Helix. There are some artist doing amazing things with it and I understand it can be tricky but I am up for the challenge.  PEACE

Aug. 16, 2006 -  I am 37 ½ weeks pregnant today and am really ready for it to be over. Haven't been able to torch in over a month and it is really killing me but I guess I'm just gonna have to be patient. I have a few sets & focals to photograph and put up on the site.
Gabe is at daycare today which is a blessing because I am unable to get on the floor and play with him the way he likes. He is very excited about his new baby brother but when it actually comes time for the baby to come home - who knows!!???!!  I sure hope he doesn't get too jealous.

June 23, 2006  -  TGIF!!!!!!  Gabe will be off to KinderCare soon and I will be out in the studio shortly thereafter.  I  am finding it harder every day to get out there and make beads.  This pregnancy is kicking my butt!  Anxiously awaiting the UPS guy today. I just ordered some Bullseye glass that should arrive today. I haven't  used Bullseye since I was a beginner and am really looking forward to playing with the new colors.  Got my new press from Cattwalk    (graduated button). Now I am thinking I would have rather bought the new sleek pillow. No biggie though, I can always sell it on LE.

Memorial Day 2006  -  What a great week we had here in the Perrin house!   My workaholic husband  took the last week off for vacation.   We decided not to go anywhere but, instead do some house projects.  The baby's room is nearly finished and we moved the guest room & workout  room together to make way for baby!   Such a rare occasion that Josh is home all week that we were able to BBQ every night and eat dinner together as a family.  Funny how simple things like that make me happy -huh!
